William Charles Carrere died on September 29, 2016 in New Orleans, Louisiana at the age of 67. He was a lifelong resident of New Orleans and Waveland, Mississippi. Billy was a third generation graduate of St. Stanislaus College in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi. He attended the University of Southwest Louisiana and served in the United States Navy where he deployed to the Mediterranean during the Vietnam War. Billy was a real estate broker and began his thirty year career with Ernest A. Carrere & Sons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edouard Camille Carrere, Jr. and Rose Marie Robin Carrere; his brother, Edouard Camille Carrere, III; and his sister, Charlotte Carrere Sanders. He is survived by his sons William Courtade Carrere and Jacques Hazard Carrere; his grandchildren, William Courtade Carrere, Jr., Charlotte Reid Carrere and Camille Grace Carrere; and his sisters, Suzanne Carrere Boyd and Claudia Carrere Powell. Visitation will be at Holy Name of Jesus Church on Tuesday, October 4th 2016, at 11:00 followed by a funeral mass at 12:30.
