

Bill is survived by his wife, Aline Reese Collins; his daughters, Brenda Seiler (John), Cheryl Collins and Ellen Meyers (Michael); his son, William Collins, III (Florence); his sister, Florence Bynum; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William A. Collins, Sr. and Lola LeBlanc Collins; his daughters Katherine and Gayle Collins; brother, Richard R. Collins; and a granddaughter.
Bill was born in New Orleans, LA on January 27, 1928 and resided in Old Jefferson for the last 61 years. He was a graduate of Fortier High School and Delgado and served his country in the United States Naval Reserves during the Korean Conflict. He was also the recipient of the St. Louis Medallion. For much of his life, Bill was a Master Plumber and a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local 60 Union as well as the Good Ole’ Boys Club. Bill was a true jack-of-all-trades who loved to golf and fish. He also had a green thumb and grew amazing tomatoes. He will be dearly missed by so many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass to be celebrated in the chapel of Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70124 on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. until Mass. Interment will follow in Metairie Cemetery.
