Jerry was a devoted husband and a loving father who will be remembered for a bright smile, a quick wit, and an overwhelming generosity towards others. A proud alumnus of the University of Georgia, he went on to a long and successful career as a pioneer in insurance services specializing in self-insured companies. As the owner and president of Self Insurer’s Service Bureau (SISB), he had offices in 11 states spanning from New Mexico to Florida and New Hampshire.
He had a long and rich history of involvement as a member in Pete Fountain’s Half-Fast Walking Club and The Court Jesters, and as a Float Lieutenant in the Krewe of Bacchus, each of which he was involved in for three decades or more. He enjoyed traveling the world and showcasing his command of the German language. Jerry loved cheering on his favorite teams, the Georgia Bulldogs, the St. Louis Cardinals and the New Orleans Saints, each of whom were prominent in his collected memorabilia.
