

William Augustine McAuliffe III born November 9, 1946 to Dorothy Jean VonAlven and William A McAuliffe Jr in San Francisco, CA. Bill Mac died at his home in Metairie, LA on November 29, 2024. He is survived by his wife, Terry Moore McAuliffe, his daughter, Dorothy McAuliffe and her children, Emma and Liam Weaver. He is also survived by his step sons, Chris Bode Jr and Sean Bode and his grandchildren, Collin Radar, Makayla Bode and great grandson Kaiden and his beloved pup, Mr. Buttons. Bill Mac leaves behind his siblings, Tara M Brown, Kathryn M Hoffman (Jim), Christian McAuliffe (Marilyn), Joseph Vallee (Patricia) and John Vallee Jr (Kimberly) and many in laws, nieces and nephews who loved him. He was predeceased by his parents, and siblings, Courtney V Fazio and Jason Vallee and his step son, Kyle Bode. After earning his degree in economics from LSU, Bill Mac made his living in the shipping and grain industry. He had belonged to The Traffic Club of New York, World Trade Club of Greater New Orleans, The Traffic and Transportation Club of Greater New Orleans, New Orleans Steamship Association, Baton Rouge Steamship Association (Treasurer) and International House, New Orleans. He loved to travel, enjoyed a good cocktail and had wonderful stories to share about his many adventures in life. Standby Partner, we will meet you in heaven!
