Cleophas “Willie” Chategnier, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, November 9, 2016. He is preceded in death by his first wife of 50 years, Rosalie Chategnier and his parents, Eugene and Ethel. He is survived by his second wife, Jean Garaudy Chategnier; his children, Linda Hall; Donald Chategnier (Betty) and Annette Maloney (Mark); his grandchildren, Mark Hall (Tina), Melissa Dublan, David Chategnier (Robyn), Troy Chategnier, Amie Waguespack (Ollie), Gregory Henriques (Jill) and Megan Maloney; great-grandchildren, Sarah, Gavin, Joel, Jacob, Grace, Landon, Addison, Gianna, Nathan, Grayson and Kathryn. Willie is one of nine children, survived by his brother, Kenneth Chategnier (Mary Jo). He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Lions Club. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home on Monday, November 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at All Saints Mausoleum.
