Willis Houston Riviere passed away peacefully at his home on August 31, 2014, at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary Lou Riviere, and his daughter, Patricia Riviere Hogan and her husband Frank. Willis is also preceded in death by his brother, Ward Eugene Riviere and sisters, Lois Riviere Sheehe and Elizabeth Riviere Ganucheau. Willis is survived by four daughters: Robin (Barlow) Brown; Rebecca Riviere and her fiancé Leon Cutrera; Laura Riviere; and Michelle (Rene) Hocke.
Willis was a loving grandfather to Melissa Mayoral, Holly Hogan Long, Keith Hogan, Derek Hocke and Trey and Kevin Crusey. He is also survived by brother Raymond Riviere and sister Ann Riviere Palmisano. He was the best Daddy and Paw Paw in the world.
Witness of Interment will be Saturday September 6, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery, 5454 Ponchartrain Blvd., New Orleans, prayers and remembrances will follow interment at the grave. Family will receive guests following burial at Michelle and Rene’s home.
