Windy Dawn Rister

Windy was a force to be reckoned with and loved intensely in a world that doesn't accept love easily. Windy was captivating; unique and unexpected. A truly beautiful soul, inside and out; fierce, loyal, compassionate and kind. She loved animals and would have done anything for her beloved pets, Hobbi and Tilda. Windy was the best aunt to her two nieces and her nephew, and her love for them knew no bounds.

Windy was preceded in death by her father, Shawn Rister, great grandmother, Dorothy Miller, and her dogs, Sheda and Diesel. She is survived by her mother, Terri Myers; step father, David Myers; sisters, Cherish Ross, Victoria Clark, Vera Dobbs, and Audrea Rister; nieces, Brendilynn and Christina; nephew, Logan; Memaw, Andrea Rister; uncle, Jason Breaux; Nanny, Cheri Rainey; grandfather, Lynn Breaux; grandmother, Sandi Breaux; and her sweet pets. Windy is also survived by her best friends, Sarah Drescher, Ashley Jurman, and so many others who knew and loved our Windy for who she was.

May she spread her wings and fly free in a world without pain or grief; break free from this world in peace and tranquility. A celebration of life will be held at the Wild Animal Santuary in Keenesburg, CO. on June 29th at 10am.
