Yetta Wolf, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend passed away on Monday, February 9, 2026 surrounded by her loved ones and a lifetime of cherished memories. Mother of Sherri Willner (Richard), and Jeff Wolf (Shanna). Grandmother of Amanda Price and Elan Wolf. Sister-in-law of Phil Wolf (Karen). Preceded in death by her beloved husband Joseph Wolf, her parents Harry and Anna Finkelstein, her sister Rose Dembs and her brother Harold “Finky” Finkelstein.
Yetta was devotedly married to Joe, with whom she built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and unwavering family pride. To her grandkids and to so many others she was affectionately known as Nana, a title she wore with pride and joy.
Yetta was a loving matriarch whose home was always welcoming, whose table was always full, and whose presence made everyone smile. Her personality was pure sunshine: fun, spunky, witty, and delightfully sharp. She had a way of making people laugh, often with just a look or a perfectly timed comment, and her sense of humor stayed with her through every stage of life.
Her legacy lives on in the generations she nurtured, the traditions she passed down, and the countless lives she touched with her warmth and wit. She will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know her.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Graveside Service at New Beth Israel Cemetery, 4400 Elysian Fields Ave., in New Orleans, on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
