Yvonne was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles A. Najolia Jr.; her parents, Anna Ferrera and Harold John Swan Sr.; her sisters, Adrianne Giovingo and Catherine C. Clayton; and her brothers, Harold John Swan Jr. and Paul Swan. She is survived by her sons, Perry G. Najolia (Jennifer) and Joby C. Najolia (April); her grandchildren, Brandon C. Najolia, Blake A. Najolia, and Olivia R. Najolia; and her great-grandchildren, Charles L. Najolia, Oliver B. Najolia, and Marcella E. Najolia.
A devout Catholic, Yvonne’s faith was a steady presence throughout her life and was a parishioner of St. Peters Catholic Church.
Those closest to Yvonne knew her as a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose care and constancy shaped the lives of her family. She also found joy and companionship in time spent playing pokeno with friends.
The family would like to give special thanks to St. Tammany Hospice and sitter “Nikki” for their compassionate care and support.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend services at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. New Orleans, LA on Friday, August 21, 2026. Visitation will be from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. A graveside service to follow visitation at All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
