Alex Bort Simpson

Born in Panama on February 24, 1943, Alex lived a life marked by curiosity, craftsmanship, and a love of learning. He was a proud member of the National Rifle Association and enjoyed reading books, classical music, and the art of gunsmithing. His love of reading filled his life with knowledge and inspired the many stories he loved to share with family and friends. Alex was known for his thoughtful nature, his kindness and respect for others, and his willingness to help anyone in need. These qualities, along with his passion for his hobbies and lifelong interests, left a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Alex was preceded in death by his parents, Alexander C. Simpson and Minnie C.S. Simpson, and his beloved sister, Rose Ann Milljour.

He is survived by his nieces, Kara (Matthew) Hain, Shawn Ortega, and Tami Legacy; his great-nieces and great-nephews, Andrew (Dina) Milljour, Marcelo (Jenna) Ortega, Jeddah (Reid) Williams, Deschan Hain, Collado Ortega, and Hunter Hain; his great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Oliver Milljour, Charlie Milljour, Ellis Milljour, Scarlett Ortega, Alaric Hain, Bo Williams, and Tallin Williams; and his brother-in-law, Kenneth Milljour.

Alex will be remembered with love by his family and all who had the privilege of knowing him. He will be remembered for his love of reading, the many stories he shared, his kindness, his respect for others, and his generous spirit that was always ready to lend a helping hand. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched and the passions he so greatly enjoyed.
