

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Armando (Dino) Anzures of New Port Richey, Florida. He joined his Heavenly Father on July 31, 2025 surrounded by his wife and friends. He was born on November 7, 1937, in El Paso Texas to Francisco Florencio and Manuela Ortiz Anzures.
Armando proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 32 years, retiring with an honorable career as a Colonel. During his career, he received the Meritorious Service Medal, Distinguished Presidential Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, Air Force Overseas, Long Tour Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon, Air Force Training Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross, and Republic of Vietnam Campaign. After retiring from the United States Air Force, Armando had numerous employment opportunities which included employment with McGraw-Hill as indiana Site Manager, California Testing Bureau, and Measured Progress as Assistant Vice President, Scoring Services.
Armando was married to his beloved and loving wife Terry Dorsey Anzures. He loved God and his Lord Jesus Christ. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where he held the position of Melchizedek Priesthood and over the years had numerous ministering callings.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife Terry, son Anthony Anzures of Ogden, Utah; son Lee Anzures (Cami) of Salt Lake City, Utah; daughter Amanda Holladay (Tyler) of Auburn, Kentucky; stepson Richard Davis (Dee) of Monticello, Georgia; and stepson Shay Hale (Jael) of Sommersworth, New Hampshire; brother Francisco Anzurez Jr., of Anaheim, California ; sisters Sandra Anzures and Letty Anzures Urias both of Anaheim, California; Priscilla Castillo Coughenoue of La Palma, California; half sister Sadie Brisky (Shane) of Newnan, Georgia; step sister Brenda Andaya; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will forever hold his memory in their hearts.
He is preceded in death by his parents Francisco Florencio and Manuela Ortiz Anzures, as long with his step brother Tony Sermeno and step sister Martha Froster of California.
Service for Armando will be held on Thursday, August 7, 2025 at 3:00 P.M. at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens; 4244 Madison St., New Port Richey, Florida 34652. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service then a reception to follow at 4:00 P.M. A private placement will take place at a later date.
