Barbara Darnell was a lioness in a stylish jumpsuit, with an ever-coiffed mane and claws. She held her stature and dignity throughout her 95 years of age, charming family, friends, and the community with an engaging smile and quick wit. She was my grandmother, at times my caretaker, my astrologer, and a constant touchstone throughout an interesting life I am proud to say she had a firm hand in shaping.
She was a powerful matriarch, creating generations of adults who epitomized her work ethic and attention to detail, instilling these same values and traditions in the generations that follow. We are not just her children, grandchildren, or even great-grandchildren, but her legacy in compassion, fortitude, perseverance, and style.
Barbara Darnell will be greatly missed by those who knew and love her.
