

Carol Gladys Peterson, age 79, of New Port Richey, Florida, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Morton Plant North Bay Hospital. She was the devoted wife of her beloved husband, Russell J. Peterson, with whom she shared many years of love and companionship.
Carol was born on December 21, 1946, in Brooklyn, New York. She was the cherished daughter of the late Frank Gustav Kuhn and Estelle Louise Hyatt Kuhn. She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Franklin Gustav Kuhn Jr. Carol dedicated many years of her professional life as a bank clerk before retiring. She was known for her kind heart, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her family.
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Patricia Kuhn of Gretna, Virginia; her godson, Frank W. Kuhn, and his wife Jessica Kuhn; her niece Patti Saviano of New Port Richey, Florida, and her husband Anthony Saviano; her nephew Robert Kuhn of Gretna, Virginia; her niece Krissy Kuhn of Gretna, Virginia, and her fiancé Billy Barbour; and her niece Cheryl Perry of Chatsworth, Georgia, and her husband James Perry.
Carol is also lovingly remembered by her great-nieces and great-nephews: Vanessa Kuhn, Ian Kuhn, Cassandra Saviano and her fiancé Christopher Stadnicki, Danielle Saviano, Samantha Saviano and her fiancé Jacob Greear, Joseph Saviano, Destiny Saviano, Isaac Kuhn, Austin Kuhn and his wife Rachel Kuhn, Blaize Kuhn, Elisabeth Perkins and her husband Eddie Perkins, Zoie Kuhn, Curtis Arthur, Shianne Arthur, Kylie Fazzio, Damian Fazzio, Sabrina Barbour and her fiancé Jordan Nutt, Travis Barbour, Nicole Barbour, Cristian Barbour and his wife Kelsi Barbour, Jonathan Barbour, and Faith Perry.
She is further survived by her great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews: Cayden Stadnicki, Skyler Kohanim, Giovanni Saviano, Maya Kuhn, Isabella Kuhn, Marcel Perkins, Akari Kuhn, Kenton Beaver, Olivia Nutt, Rayleigh Nutt, Emmitt Barbour, and Easton Barbour.
Carol will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched with her kindness, love, and gentle spirit.
