January 18, 1972 – August 22, 2020
Clyde Allen McMullen, age 48, lost a long and hard-fought battle with cancer in New Port Richey, FL on Saturday, August 22, 2020 with loving family by his side. Clyde was born January 18, 1972 in Springfield, Ohio to Wayne and Patricia (Ark) McMullen.
After high school, Clyde served in the United States Army as a microwave systems operator in Korea, Germany, and Panama. Being far away from family for extended periods of time was challenging, therefore Clyde finished his military career closer to home as an Army recruiter in Cincinnati, OH. Following his military career, he transitioned to sales with a focus in the painting industry, working for CertaPro Painting and eventually building his own business. Clyde made many friends along the way and deeply valued those relationships. He will forever be missed by many people near and far.
Clyde is survived by daughter, Siarah (New Port Richey, FL) and sons, Thor (Phoenix, AZ) and Titan (Cincinnati, OH). Survived by his loving mom, Pat McMullen (New Port Richey) and sister, Kim (Jerry) Rossman (Wesley Chapel, FL). Clyde was the fun uncle (“funcle”) to Joseph and Lauren. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Tara Hofstetter (Batavia, OH). He was preceded in death by his dad, Wayne McMullen.
Memorial gathering will be held at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey, FL from 4-6 pm on Thursday, August 27, 2020. Committal to take place at Bushnell National Cemetery on Friday, August 28, 2020.
