Deborah Gunther Whitehouse passed on July 11, 2026, at the age of 86. She was born in Easton, Maryland on May 27, 1940, and was a resident of Palm Harbor, Florida. Deb was gifted with a brilliant mind; in addition, over her lifetime she was always true to herself and what she believed. She was quick to master whatever was needed for the situation at hand. Her college years at Northwestern University earned her a degree in music which brought pleasure to all around her; at the Gables she played music outside the dining room daily at lunch up until she became ill. She learned braille, working with the blind. A doctorate in education helped her tutor young children. She was married to Horace D. Whitehouse, who died in 1986. And after she married her second husband in 1990, C. Alan Anderson, she quickly aligned herself with many principles of philosophy. When they became interested in New Thought, she wrote three books on the topic and served several years as president of a Florida New Thought chapter. Well done, Deb.
She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Gunther Stewart of Bedford, Massachusetts and brother John Terrill Gunther of Davenport, Florida as well as two nieces and three nephews.
