It is with profound sorrow that the family of Dina Roussos Giannet, 85, of New Port Richey, Florida, announces her passing. Although her passing was unexpected, she was surrounded by her loving husband, devoted children and close friends when she passed peacefully on September 10th, 2022.
Dina was born on May 10th, 1937, in Paleo Faliro, Athens, Greece to Mihalis and Stavroula Roussos. She recently celebrated her 56th wedding anniversary with her beloved husband, Emmanuel. The hearts of her adoring husband and children, Stan, Loula and Billy accompanied her as she entered the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her loving mother, Stavroula, father, Mihalis, brother, Vasilis, and sister, Maria.
Dina's life was characterized by unbridled love for all. She gave selflessly and endlessly with the most beautiful smiles, warmest hugs, enchanting elegance, and consistent optimism. Her compassion, love and nurturing of innumerable hearts, minds and souls mark her legacy. A woman of sharp intellect and curiosity, she had a vibrant passion for life and found purpose and meaning daily from her family and friends, companion animals, multiple enriching hobbies, her humor, the beauty of nature and deep devotion to Christ and his principles. She prayed ceaselessly and lived a life of deep faith in the Lord with purposeful simplicity and abundant appreciation for the gift of life and for her family. She had boundless pride for her children; she was the cornerstone of the family.
She cherished music and played piano, organ, accordion, guitar, ukulele, flute and the recorder with grace. An avid artist, she enjoyed regularly painting, drawing, sketching, photography, and writing - from poetry to short stories. She mastered English, Greek, Spanish, German and French with native proficiency and valued creativity and life-long learning. She loved cooking and enjoyed nourishing her family and friends -- literally and spiritually, emotionally, and intellectually. She had an affinity for movies, theater, gardening, and board games, and was a fierce, undefeated backgammon player.
As a gerontologist and Certified Activities Consultant for over four decades, she taught about aging and therapeutic activities and inspired countless students and healthcare professionals. She also taught languages, English to speakers of other languages, OneStroke painting, Sunday school, Greek school, and continuing education seminars for professionals in a variety of disciplines.
She was the founder and managing principal of Giannet Consulting Services, Inc., a high-impact organizational consulting and training group, and enjoyed providing assistance at her children's law firm, Giannet Law Firm. She also worked at numerous long-term care and assisted living facilities, providing therapeutic activities to residents, whom she adored dearly.
Dina earned multiple certificates and degrees including a doctorate in ministry, received numerous professional accolades from Toastmasters International Gold to Who's Who, and has published award-winning poetry including her book of quotes, Words to Live By: Inspiring Quotes that Will Touch Your Heart.
Dina was admired and loved by all who knew her not only because she embodied a life filled with kindness and love, but also because of her profound impact on others. She will be greatly missed. The beauty of her physical presence has been irretrievably lost, but her spiritual presence is everywhere. Her memory and love will be indelible in the hearts and minds of the family and friends she leaves behind.

"I'll be seeing you
In every lovely summer's day
In everything that's light and gay
I'll always think of you that way
I'll find you in the morning sun
And when the night is new
I'll be looking at the moon
But I'll be seeing you"
