Don was born at home in Ohio . He was brought up in the catholic faith and raised his family in the church. He was a faith filled man.
In the early 60s Don moved his family to Florida. He became A general contractor and built hundreds of the homes in the Holiday and New Port Richey area. He was a man of Integrity.
In the early 80s he opened one of the first pawn shops in pasco. The golden nugget pawn became a second home for the family and a place to “ shoot the shit”( in his words) for hours.
Later he became the owner of “ Hunters pub” and the good life of friends and family continued on.
Most mornings you would find Don in his truck, air on, windows down, country music, making his stops around the town. If he didn’t have an avocado or an orange for you he would have a butterscotch candy, gum drop , peanuts or crackers. On special Holidays he made sure all his girls were delivered chocolates. He was a man full of joy and he left a little every where he went.
All of his business endeavors were held up , supported and encouraged by his loving wife Gerry. The force behind the man; the wind beneath his wings.
Donald became Goose for the love of the hunt! Canadian geese and duck were his favorite, But nothing compared to the time spent at his hunting camp in North Florida with his sons and grandson.
