Donald A. Robert
8/15/1954 – 9/1/2015
Don Robert was born in Nashua, NH. This is where he grew up with his parents Roland & Claire Robert and his brother Glenn Robert. It was a great honor for him to be a member of the Elks Trojans Junior Drum & Bugle Corps throughout school. He graduated from Nashua High in 1973 and married his high school sweetheart, Diane (Arel) Robert, July 14 1973. He worked at Alexander’s Supermarket for 22 years where he made some lifelong friends. Don was a certified scuba diver and collected some of his treasures off the Isles of Shoals between Maine and NH. He loved being on the water every weekend at his vacation home on Ossipee Lake. He and his wife adopted his only daughter, Abigail, when he was 36 years old. He moved to New Port Richey, FL in 1996 where he spent the rest of his life. He was a hard and dedicated worker in whatever he did. He took pride in his home and garden, as well as his guns. Going shooting at a range was something he grew to love more and more over the years. Being a Catholic, he attended St. James Apostle Catholic church every Sunday. And boy, did he love Father Mike. He really had a lot of LOVE for people. Definitely had a “tough guy” image but a teddy bear personality. It was hard not to love him back. He made friends wherever he went, whether it was at the grocery store, or delivering packages on his route at work. He fought through a tough battle of stage4 colon and omental cancer and God decided to take him home after he was on a ventilator at Trinity Hospital. He will truly be missed by every person that was touched by his personality. We love you Daddy.
