Edgar was born in Bogota, Colombia to Jaime A. Vallejo and the late Alica Vallejo De La Peña. Edgar served in the Colombian Navy from 1963-1973. He later moved to the United States where he resided in Arlington, Virginia. Edgar had a passion for cars and worked as a automotive mechanical specialist until he retired in 2006 and moved to Florida. Edgar was especially fond of traveling to his second home in Santa Marta, Colombia where he spent his days relaxing on the beach.
Edgar is survived by his brother Jaime E. Vallejo, Sisters Jeannine Belliveau (Vallejo) and Martha Hughes (Vallejo), Son Edgar E. Vallejo (son of Inez Rozo), Daughter in Law Katherine Vallejo (Pulliam), Daughter Kimberly Vallejo (daughter of Jane Hacker) and Girlfriend Leonor Graveran. He will be deeply missed by his large family and friends extending from Virginia to Colombia.
Visitation hours for Edgar will be on Thursday, April 4 from 6-9pm at North Meadowlawn Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church on Friday, April 5th at 10am.
