Elizabeth Heyward DeGain A resident of New Port Richey since July 1972 , formerly of Salamanca, NY. Born in Bluffton, SC on March 8, 1924 to Daniel H. Heyward and Mae Mulligan. Married to George F DeGain, Jr. (deceased on July 28, 1996) on July 20, 1946. She worked as a teacher’s aide in Salamanca, NY and at Elfers Elementary in Elfers, Fl until the early 1980’s. She was an active member of St. Stevens Episcopal Church until her illness in 2007.. Her hobbies were oil painting and gardening. She was proudly the Great, Great, Great, Great Grand Daughter of Thomas Heyward Jr., Signer of the Declaration of Independence from South Carolina. Survived by three children Donald E.(Jeannie) DeGain of Odessa, Fl Grace A. (Ronald) Frank of Debary, Fl and Richard F. DeGain of New Port Richey, Fl. Five Grandchildren Kurt Frank, Amie Frank, Danielle DeGain Cross, Donna DeGain Gonzalez, and Derek J. DeGain. Four Great Grandchildren Dylan Cross, Deanna Frank, Olivia Frank and Khloe Gonzalez.
