Esther Jones Reyes lived a beautiful, bold, unforgettable life—one overflowing with love, laughter, strength, and unwavering faith. She has gone to be with Jesus, but her spirit, her voice, and her love will remain in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.

Esther lived life BIG. She was loud in the very best way—vibrant, passionate, and full of energy. You never had to wonder whether Esther was in the room; you could feel her presence before you even saw her. She brought humor, honesty, and her unique spark everywhere she went. And in true Esther fashion, she had her own way of showing affection - like calling everyone "big head," a phrase that somehow managed to be both hilarious and endearing at the same time. It was her playful way of reminding you that she loved you. She had a gift for turning a quiet moment into something lively, and a tough moment into something hopeful. If someone needed a hand, a laugh, or the truth said with love, Esther was already moving toward them. Caring for people wasn’t something she did—it was who she was. She showed that same deep, loyal wholehearted love in every corner of her life, including the way she tenderly cared for her mother through her battle with cancer. Esther's strength, compassion and unwavering devotion during that time spoke volumes about the woman she was. She fought for those she loved with everything in her, and she prayed just as fiercely.

From a young age, Esther’s heart was drawn to children, She was a special "Titi" to so many, caring for them, guiding them, and pouring herself into their lives. There are children who grew up feeling safe, loved, and understood because of her. Many families considered her part of their own because her love overflowed so naturally. Her impact will be carried forward through all the little lives she helped shape.

Esther was a fighter—a strong, determined woman who faced challenges with grit and perseverance. Life didn’t come easily, but she never stopped pushing forward. And when things felt heavy, she leaned into the One she trusted above all: Jesus. Her faith was her anchor. She prayed, she waited, she believed, and she trusted that God was carrying her. Through every season—good or hard—she held onto Him with everything in her.

And she lived long enough to see the beautiful ways God came through for her. She saw prayers answered and dreams fulfilled. She met and married her loving husband, Melquis, who cherished her deeply and stood by her through everything. Together, they built a life full of laughter, love, and partnership. Esther’s greatest earthly blessing was becoming the mother of their precious daughter, Claudia Joy—the little girl who lit up her world and reminded her daily of God’s goodness. Nothing brought Esther more joy or pride than being Claudia Joy's mom.

Esther loved people fiercely. She loved loudly and wholeheartedly. Her laughter filled rooms, her hugs were strong, her honesty was refreshing, and her presence made people feel alive. She treasured every moment with her family and friends, and she had a way of making every gathering brighter. She accomplished so much in her life—not because her path was easy, but because she was determined, courageous, and held firmly by her faith.

Though her time here was far too short, the impact she made will last for generations. Her big personality, her loud laugh, her fierce loyalty, her jokes, including every "big head" she ever lovingly tossed out - and her unwavering trust in God will continue to inspire all who knew her. Esther lived a life full of purpose, faith, and love—and she leaves behind a community forever changed by who she was.

May the Lord carry Melquis and precious Claudia Joy with His peace, comfort, and strength through every day ahead. May he guide them through life with the same love Esther gave so freely, and may the memories of Esther Jones Reyes remain with them—and with all of us—forever.
