Eunice C. Harris

We are celebrating the life of E. C. (Eunice C. Harris), age 89, born September 26, 1932, in Cordele, Ga, and his transition into the eternal Glory of God, His Heavenly Father, June 13, 2022. He enjoyed his life on earth in service as a Marine and loved the students he educated at Mickens High School and Clearwater High School, five years and 35 years respectively.

He also taught Sunday School for over 50 years at various congregations and fought for civil rights in the education system.

He loved history, traveling, camping, repairing cars and anything that could be fixed, fishing, swimming, and being with family and friends. He is preceded upon his journey to Heaven by his mother and father Mattie and Morris Harris Sr, and siblings Morris Harris, Jr and Grace Booker who are no doubt, celebrating with him as we are here on earth. Left behind to cherish his memory are his devoted, loving wife of 66 years, Gloria Harris, and their sons and daughters, Pamela Harris Hutchieson & (David) of Orlando, FL, Rodney Harris of Port Richey, FL, Lateefah (Cassandra Harris) Abdullah of Milwaukee, WI and Anthony (Tony) Harris of Port Richey, FL; two loving sister-in Laws, Doris Holmes of Americus, GA, her eight sons and daughters, Mozell Harris of Decatur GA, her seven sons, and daughters, and the four sons and daughters of Grace Booker his deceased sister of Akron, OH; seven grandchildren, Ameerah, Tariq & Humzah Abdullah, and Ayesha Abdullah Ali & (Fauzon) of Milwaukee, WI, Lacosta Renee Harris of Arkansas and Yolanda Harris Lopez of Ft. Myers, FL, and Donavan Harris of Tampa, FL; 18 grandchildren and great-grandchildren, numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, other various relatives, and friends. We honor our relatives that have gone before us into the Glory Realms of God in Jesus Name!

A visitation for Eunice will be held Friday, June 24, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652. A funeral service will occur Friday, June 24, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652. A graveside service will occur Friday, June 24, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
