Everett Brooks Mann

August 9, 1917 – June 14, 2011

Mann, Everett Brooks “Chick” passed away on June 14, 2011, in Pasco County. He lived at Harborview Mobile Home Park for 28 years and La Casa Grande for the last 6 months. Everett was a WWII veteran serving on the USS LST 567. He participated in the Leyte Gulf Landings, Philippines; Lingayen Gulf Landing, Philippines and the Okinawa Gunto, Japan Landing and his ship was in Tokyo Bay for the surrender ceremony. Everett was a member of the Florida Sailors Association and Veterans of Foreign Wars. He worked as a typesetter and was a member of the CWA/ITU Union for a total of 64 years and the Supreme Council of the Royal Arcanum for over 60 years. Everett was preceded in death by his parents; wife Marie and brother Robert. He is survived by his sons, Thomas and Richard; brother Perry(Norma); sister Marge; sister-in-law Jayne(Jim); grandson, Joshua; and step-grandchildren, Andrea and Elisha. Visitation will be Friday, June 17th from 1:00pm-2:00pm and the service at 2:00pm. Interment will be at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens. Family asks in lieu of flowers to please donate to your local Veterans of Foreign Wars.
