Felicia Smith, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2026, in Odessa Florida.
A woman of immense intellect and compassion, Felicia dreamed of becoming a scientist in her youth, later channeling her passion for knowledge into raising her family and instilling a lifelong love of reading in her children. As a devoted wife and mother of seven, she often worked full-time as the primary caregiver, holding positions as an information operator, bank teller, and an award-winning assistant librarian. She was also a dedicated volunteer in the Catholic school her children attended and graduated from.
Felicia's legacy is defined by the values of hard work, responsibility, and mutual support that she instilled in her children, helping and feeding others while raising her children, and teaching her family through examples how to triumph over adversity. Her extraordinary kindness and generosity to family, neighbors, and strangers was unmatched.
She was preceded in death by her son, Wilson Lee Smith. She is survived by her brother Mikel Jones and sister-in-law, Donna Jones, her daughters, Jennifer Barcliff, Cheryl Smith, Denise Amos, and Marcia Nelson, her sons, James Smith and William Smith, a son-in-law, a set of daughters-in-law, eleven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed.
