

Geneva Lanphar passed away at her home in Kentucky on September 15,2010. She was born on June 1,1931 in Marion, Michigan.
Preceding her in death are her parents, Elmer and Lois Thompson, and her husband of 53 years, Robert Lanphar.
She is survived by her two sons and one daughter: Willam Lanphar and his wife Tonya, Kenneth Lanphar and his wife Lois, Deborah Janowski and her husband Gary. Geneva was one of nine children and she is the first of the nine to pass way. Her siblings are: Millie, Rosie, Vivian, Lila, Barbara, Lloyd, Merle, and Bob. She had 13 grand-children: Colleen Pascalli and husband Russell, Karen Turner and husband Shawn, Sheena Janowski and fiance Bryan Daly, Rob Lanphar, Casey Lanphar, Clint Lanphar, Christy, Tammy, Michael Lanphar, Miranda Lanphar, Maryssa Reva Lanphar, Madison Mae Lanphar, Mason Lanphar. Geneva had 18 great-grandchildren: Steven Richardson, Kayla Horony, Elissa Pascalli, David Turner, Gary Turner, John Turner, Ashley, Steven, Joseph, Marcus, Celine, Michael, Zack, Jennifer, Hailey, Madison, CJr, Candice. She also has one great-great-grandchild.
Geneva and Robert moved to Florida from Michigan in 1952 and made a permanent home in New Port Richey to raise their family. Geneva worked at Beall's for a period of time before becoming a housewife and homemaker. She spent a good deal of time watching and spending time with her grand kids. Geneva was a wonderful woman and role model to her family and friends. She was her daughter's, Deborah Sue, best friend. She loved everyone and loved life to the fullest. She was always there for her family when they needed her most. Unfortunately Geneva developed Alzheimer's disease in her late 50's.
After Geneva's husband passed away in 2002 she was cared for by her grand-daughter and grandson-in-law, Karen and Shawn Turner, for a little over 8 years before she passed. Their are many fond memories that will always remain with us as we grieve her passing. We know that she is watching us from heaven and she will always be our angel and sunshine. Geneva you were the best mom and grandma anyone could ever ask for. We all love you very much.
