Helen M. Licastro, 88, of New Port Richey, FL, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at West Florida Hospital Pensacola, FL. She was born in New York, NY on December 30, 1933. Helen was married to the late Joseph S. Licastro. She was a retired Overseas Telephone Operator for AT&T. After retirement, Helen and Joe moved to New Port Richey, FL. She was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in New Port Richey, FL and was an active member of the Heritage Lake Stamford Village Community. Helen enjoyed spending her time participating in exercise classes, bowling, doing word search, reading, volunteering for Meals on Wheels, and spending time with family and friends.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Isabelle Glennon, her husband Joseph S. Licastro, son Joseph L. Licastro, brother Richard Glennon, a sister Agnes Guitard, and a sister-in-law Madelyn Piciullo. She is survived by her son George J. Licastro of Brooklyn, NY, a daughter Christy Licastro of Charlotte, NC, a grandson Joseph G. Licastro (Yvette), whom she raised, of Cantonment, FL, a brother John Doscher (Irene) of Brooksville, FL, a sister-in-law Pat Glennon of Middletown, DE, and a brother-in-law Jerry Piciullo of Long Island, NY. She is also survived by four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends.
A visitation for Helen will be held Monday, November 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652. A funeral service will occur Monday, November 21, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652. A graveside service will occur Monday, November 21, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
