Our condolences to Jim's  family we were shocked  and saddened to learn that we lost  a great neighbor and friend. My wife and I moved next door to Jim and Joanne in 2018 and i quickly realized that Jim was the neighbor everyone hopes for, friendly, helpful, with a great sense of humor and always a smile on his face. He was a person you could turn to if you  needed anything.  He knew everyone and always had advice for any situation he  instantly became my " go to guy" whether it  was advice on boating,  landscaping , anything at all.  I looked back through all our texts over the past years and realized he never failed to get back to me  instantly and always with a helpful  answer or advice ,  He will greatly missed by all who knew him.

May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face,
The rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of his hand.

I have known Jim.Dato a very long time, before the turn of the century. I'm sad, very sad, I cannot call him and talk about the business. In politics , he organized fund drives for local politicians campaign contributions, knowing the values of good community relations; especially in our industry.  I brokered a few deals,  buying and selling with Jim.  He was a smart,  serious businessman and I will miss him as well as our industry will also miss Jim Dato. Farewell Friend.

My condolences to the family. Jim was a good & gracious neighbor. It was his strength & good humor that helped us through an uncertain time. Eternal rest grant onto him oh Lord. Let your perpetual light shine upon him. May he rest in peace.

Jim was a wonderful neighbor, father, husband and friend.  He was the kindest person and he always was there to help us and to look out for us.  He truly will be missed by his family and wonderful wife.
He has left a huge hole in our life and it cannot be repaired.  We miss you Jim.  Love, Gary and Judy Anderson
