Jerline Rogers

Jerline Rogers, 79, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away Friday, June 10, 2011 at her residence in Port Richey. She was born in Raleigh, North Carolina and arrived in the area in 1981 coming from Queens, New York. She was a retired Accountant for New York Telephone Company, and a member of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, New Port Richey. Other memberships include: The Pioneers Club; The New York City Transit Retirees Chapter 7 and 369 Veteran Women’s Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband Winston Rogers. Jerline loved taking care of people, travelling, taking walks and was very active in the community. She gave unconditional love and would do for others before she did for herself. Survivors include 3 nieces; Ilean Stanley, Ernstein Moore, and Claire Goll-Rogers; 2 nephews, Albert Moore and Reginald Rogers; great-nephews Shaun, Charles, and Stuart and great-nieces Allichia, Fabienne, Sheila, Yolanda, and Tiffany. A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, June 16, 2011, 1:00pm until 3:00pm, and 5:00pm until 7:00pm at North-Meadowlawn Funeral Home, New Port Richey, Florida. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 17, 2011, 11:00am at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, New Port Richey, with burial to follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens, New Port Richey, Florida. In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 5326 Charles Street, New Port Richey.
