John Chilimigras, 87, of Hudson, Florida, passed away on June 27, 2026. Born on December 15, 1938, in Tripoli, Greece, John was the son of Constandinos and Panorea Tsilimigras. At the age of 12, he immigrated with his two younger brothers on the last ship traveling from Greece to Ellis Island—an early passage that reflected a life marked by perseverance, steady courage, and a deep devotion to those he loved.
John served in the United States Air Force, carrying forward a strong sense of duty and integrity. A hard-working and honest man, he took care of his family however he could, meeting each responsibility with quiet resolve and selfless dedication. Determined to build a life of stability and purpose, he put himself through Chiropractic school and became a outstanding Doctor offering care to others with the same gentle thoughtfulness that defined him at home.
In high school, John met the love of his life, Gail (Kathy), and they “have been in love ever since.” Their 63 years of marriage were a testament to enduring loyalty, tenderness, and a partnership rooted in mutual respect. Family was profoundly important to John, and his love was expressed not in grand display, but in consistent presence, generous support, and the wise steadiness of a man who placed others before himself.
John is survived by his wife, Kathy; his daughter, Panorita Chilimigras; and two grandchildren, Angelina (Paul) Pence and Iliana Chilimigras. He was preceded in death by his parents; four older sisters; one older brother; and his beloved son.
