Dad, you were my first hero and my future husband with training wheels. I remember you making me dresses when I was small; you called them shifts. When I had rheumatic fever, you carried me to the doctor and helped set up my bedroom to make sure I stayed safe and healthy. You taught me to love freely and to help those I love now, rather than waiting. You taught me the meaning of hard work, the value of the dollar, and not being afraid to re-invent myself and my career. You believed in the innate goodness of people and always helped those in need. You helped shape me into the person I am today. I love you Dad!
