Joshua Allen Dreyer was born March 13th, 1994 to Melissa Mattingly in Clarksville, Indiana. At birth, as he was throughout his life, he was a true miracle. He survived a premature birth and spent the first 3 months of his life in NICU. At the age of 3 (April 1997), he moved with his mother Melissa to Bemidji, Minnesota. In May of 2000, Josh was officially adopted by Keith Dreyer.
Josh graduated from Bemidji High School. He was 3-year Varsity Wrestler and was well known for his brute strength but kind spirit. In April of 2015, Josh moved with his family to New Port Richey, Florida. Josh worked at the Stadium Restaurant kitchen as he worked towards earning a degree in Computer Networking from Pasco Hernando State College. He received his Associates Degree in May 2017. Josh worked at Web Direct Brands in Odessa Florida and considered returning to the University of South Florida to further his education.
Josh was a reserved quiet person, but to those people he was the most comfortable with his smile and laughter could light up a room. He loved to spend time with animals, especially dogs. Josh did have his share of physical struggles, but to those who watched him continue, he put one foot in front of the other in his pursuit of an independent life. He truly was an inspiration. Josh is survived by parents Keith and Melissa Dreyer and brother Reese Dreyer from New Port Richey, Florida as well as special friend Roterra Jones. He will be missed by all, but especially his loving family; Keith, Melissa, and dog, Mika.
