It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Larry Harvey, a loving husband, father, and PeePaw. Larry passed away peacefully on July 23, 2026 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. He was 63 years old.
Born on February 6, 1963 in Princeton, West Virginia, Larry showed a passion for music at a young age which would shape his life and career. He influenced countless lives as a middle school band director and private lesson teacher.
Larry was a valued and dedicated member of two brass bands where he played cornet. Beyond music, he enjoyed spending time on the driving range and golf course and cheering on his West Virginia Mountaineers. He adored his family and loved traveling to spend time with them. He cherished spending time with Jeanne on the beach and watching sunsets.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson and Mary Harvey and his brother, Les Harvey. He leaves behind his wife, Jeanne; his son Tom, and daughter in law Sandy; his daughters, Tia and son in law, Erik, and Taylor; and his beloved grandchildren, Liam and Lorelai.
A Celebration of Life will be held on August 8, 2026 at 2:00 pm at the Center for the Arts at River Ridge, located at 11646 Town Center Rd, New Port Richey, FL.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Tampa Brass Works in Larry's honor.
