Lillian H. Conerty, age 96, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away on Monday, February 17, 2020. Lillian was born November 5, 1923 in Bronx, NY to Stephen John Bellis and Julia Zacik Bellis from Austria, Hungary. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Thomas Conerty; and her brother, Stephen Bellis Jr.
After retiring from IBM and moving to Florida in the 1980's, her and Tom volunteered at Helen Ellis and Trinity Hospital for many years. Lillian was a lover of animals, especially cats. They both gave many cats wonderful lives. The Humane Society was a place they spent volunteering caring for the cats, and playing with the kittens. Anything cat puts a smile on her face. She always said she didn't have a favorite cat, she loved them all the same. Just what a good Mother would say, with a smile. She did have a favorite thing to do though. And that was being with her Tom. She and her husband were world travelers. Whether they went by plane, ship or car that was her most favorite thing to do. They traveled the world to see God's beauty. And they did it together. She always said "Find a person you enjoy being with and see the world together". She didn't have a favorite destination, so long as she was with Tom it didn't matter where they went or how they got there. So long as they were together. Now they are together again, in the arms of Our Lord for eternal life. Rest in Peace.
A visitation for Lillian will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652.
