Mark was born on March 24, 1962, in Gary, Indiana, to Russell and Joyce Godsey. After graduating from high school, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for four years.
Following his military service, Mark built a career in sales before finding his dream job working at a golf course. Golf was more than a profession to him—it was his greatest passion, and he found joy both on and off the course.
Mark is survived by his loving wife, Terri Godsey; his son, Aaron Hoyte; his sister, Amanda Feeney; and his brother, Greg Godsey.
Mark will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Southport Springs Clubhouse, 3509 Southport Springs Pwky, Zephyrhills, FL 33541, on July 18, 2026, at 2:00 pm. and again on Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Countryway Golf Course.
Graveside Services will take place at Heartwood Preserve Conservation Cemetery, 4100 Starkey Blvd, Trinity, FL 34655, US, on July 20, 2026, from 10:00 am to 10:30 am.
