
Paul J. Fischer (Rybowiak), 83, passed away on June 23rd, 2012 in New Port Richey Florida. Paul was born in Chicago IL on February 25th, 1929 and ran the family business in South Chicago called Scratch’s Tavern on Manistee Avenue. He was predeceased by his parent Walter and Stella, wife Lorraine (Zalewski) and son Paul J. Fischer Jr., Brother Arthur Rybowiak, and Sisters Dorothy Niedzialek & Barbara Szymanski. Paul is survived by his children; Kathleen (Anthony) Pagorek and Randall Fischer, Grandchildren; Anthony (Katy) Pagorek, Erica Pagorek, Hilary Pagorek, and Ariel Fischer, Great-Grandchildren; Audrey Pagorek, Caroline Pagorek, and Avaya Sullivan, and his Significant Other Irmgard Butterfield.
Paul served as a medic during the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Knights of Columbus 4th Degree, and the Moose Lodge.
Paul was a cowboy at heart with a favorite pair of boots and cowboy hat that he wore all the time and a dry sense of humor that the family enjoyed. They will miss his love of singing but will remember always him singing “I did it my Way”.
A memorial service will be planned by the family at a later date.
