

Richard Eugene Barham, 93, of New Port Richey, Florida passed away peacefully on May 21, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 3, 1931 in Chicago, IL. to Frank and Lola Barham. Richard was raised in Niles, IL. He went to Maine Township High School in Park Ridge, IL.
He proudly served in the United States Army and was deployed and wounded in Korea. He was the devoted husband of Arline (Althaus) Barham for over 75 years. In Des Plaines, IL. he successfully raised 4 children. He worked in the printing industry until 1990, at that time retiring to Missouri and then to Florida.
He cherished his time working as a security guard at the VA Clinic in New Port Richey, FL. his involvement in the Corvette Club, riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and the Korean War Veterans Association. He was also an avid runner competing in many races over the years. Richard was a parishioner of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. Above all, his family came first and he leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Richard is survived by his 4 children, 9 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.
It is in dying that we are born into eternal life with our Lord.
A Celebration of Life will be held August 30, 2025 at Meadowlawn Funeral Home in New Port Richey, FL.
