Richard Harold Schell

Richard was born on January 28, 1941, in Reading, Pennsylvania, to Irvin and Helen Schell. He graduated from Reading High School and went on to build a life centered on family, hard work, and service to others.

On March 24, 1962, Richard married the love of his life, Patricia Wentzel Schell. Together they shared more than 64 years of marriage, raising a loving family and creating a lifetime of cherished memories.

Richard worked in the manufacturing industry throughout his career, including positions with Rachlin Furniture, Troutman Machine, and AT&T. He was known for his strong work ethic and dedication.

A committed member of the nonprofit One Community Now, Richard believed in giving back to his community. He had many passions throughout his life, including the arts, sports, bicycling, and traveling. Whether spending time with family, exploring new places, or enjoying his favorite activities, Richard embraced life with enthusiasm and kindness.

Richard is survived by his beloved wife, Patricia Schell; his daughters, Wendi Lyn and Tina Marie; his son, Scott Alan; and his treasured grandchildren, Erica Lee, Christopher Shaun, Michael John, Amber Marie; great grandchildren Cady, Reagan, Jason, Emily, Abel, Jade, Helen, and Tristan.

He will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his generous spirit, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
