Robert Lee Thompson Sr
October 17, 1948 – October 18, 2021

Robert Lee Thompson Sr, 73 years and one day went to meet the Good Lord and claim his wings on October 18, 2021, at Medical City Hospital, Weatherford, Texas after a short illness.
He was born in Columbus, Ohio to Fred Thompson and Phyllis Harrington on October 17, 1948, and retired to New Port Richey, Florida in 2009.
Past Member of the Knight of Pythias, Mineral Wells, Texas, Mineral Wells Police Academy and was always volunteering to help. He was loved by many, and it was said he could talk you out of the shirt on your back. He was a good man and a loving husband and father, loved life and always clowning around. Worked hard all his life and before retirement he was Supervisor for 15 years at Milsap Stone in Mineral Wells, Texas.
Leaving behind his beloved wife and soulmate Zelda Arue Thompson (nee Beaver) married June 30th, 1974, sharing 52 wonderful years together. He also leaves behind his sons, Robby Lee Thompson Sr of New Port Richey, Florida, Robert Lee Thompson Jr (Cara) of Grove City, Ohio, Thom Priestino (Denise) of St Padre, Texas and Edward Priestino of Omaha, Nebraska. Daughters include Jolenna Lee Isenhour (Steve) of Poolville, Texas and Theresa Renee Nicholson (Doug) of Grove City, Ohio. Sister Mary Lou France of Columbus Ohio and Special “sister” Dianne Farthing (Larry). Many Grand and Great Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews. He will truly be missed by all.
A visitation for Robert will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Meadowlawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 4244 Madison Street, New Port Richey, FL 34652, followed by a funeral service from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
