He was born in Rochester, Pennsylvania on March 21, 1925. Robert (Bob) graduated from Rochester High School and received a degree in Industrial Engineering from Geneva College.
He was married to Della Donley Fox for over 70 years. Bob worked in management and teaching for Colt Industries-Crucible Division, Geneva College, and Jefferson Tech. He had a passion for his family, basketball, golf, baseball, and football.
He is survived by his sons James (Tracy) Whitten, David Whitten, and Robert (Laurel) Whitten, Grandchildren Adam Whitten, Collin Whitten, Garrett Whitten, Derek Whitten, Sean Whitten and Vincent (Holly) DelPonte, Great Grandchildren Ava Grace Whitten and Landon DelPonte. Bob was preceded in death by his son William (Bill) Whitten.
