Sarah “Sally” Margaret Schlender, 83, of Port Richey Florida, died September 9th, 2019 due to complications stemming from stage 4 liver cancer. Sarah was born November 15th, 1935 in New York City to Patrick and Margaret Morgan, and later moved to Calverton, New York upon marrying Herbert.

She is predeceased by her parents Patrick and Margaret, brothers Patrick and Thomas, her husband Herbert and son Robert. She is survived by her sons Paul, Carl and Brian; daughter-in-law Joanne; sisters Patricia and Margaret, granddaughters Samantha and Isabelle, and step grandson Christopher.

Sarah originally worked for Metropolitan Life Insurance until marrying Herbert, where she became homemaker and bookkeeper for his business, Swan Construction. Her hobbies included bowling, singing, dancing, traveling, amassing a massive unique teapot collection, visiting her favorite place (Disney World), and fawning over ALL babies! She also enjoyed dressing to the “Nines” each and every day, to include matching hats and jewelry! Upon Herbert’s retirement and subsequent move to Florida, Sarah was an active volunteer with CONA (Counsel Of Neighborhood Associations), Pasco County Sheriff’s Citizen Patrol, Pasco County Code Enforcement and West Pasco County Republican Club.

Sarah always had a smile and kind word for anyone she met – and was ALWAYS proud of her Irish roots! She is dearly missed by her family, friends and neighbors. We are comforted to know she now dwells in glory with Herbert and Robert and our Lord Jesus for all eternity.
