Savas Michael Savidis

Savas M. Savidis, age 84 of Holiday, Florida, passed away on August 27, 2025. He was a beloved husband of the late Antonia Savidis, loving father of Michael (Alexandra) Savidis, adored Pappou of Sava, Dimitri (Christina), Tony and “Big” Pappou to Alexandra Zoi, cherished brother of Ioannis (Amalia) Savidis, Konstantinos (Kleanthi) Savidis, Theodora (Stavros) Protofanousis, Lemonia (Nick) Strouboulos and a loving uncle, cousin and friend to many.

Savas was born in Elata, Chios, Greece. He proudly served in the Greek Navy and later pursued his passion for cooking and graduated from Culinary School. He came to America in 1968 where he met his wife Antonia (of 46 years). He proudly and successfully opened his restaurants in New York and lived there until he retired and moved to Florida in 2001.

Family and friends will meet Tuesday, September 2, 2025 at 11:30 AM for a visitation at St. George Greek Orthodox Church in New Port Richey, Florida followed by funeral service at 12:30 PM. Interment to follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations will be accepted by the family to be donated to his beloved hometown church of Holy Trinity in Elata, Chios Greece.
