

Yolanda Ernestine Stachelek, 94 of New Port Richey.Florida passed away on April 20, 2017, surrounded by her loving family. Wife of the late Joseph S. Stachelek Sr. whom she was happily married to for more than 57 years. Born in Foxborough Mass, on April 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late James and Maria (Bettini) Turinese. Yolanda grew up in Mansfield Mass. and graduated from Mansfield High School. Married Joseph Sr and had a son Joseph S. Stachelek Jr. After Retiring from The Mansfield Bleachery after so many years, they moved to Denmark/Bridgton Maine permanently in 1980 where they lived on Moose pond and enjoyed their retirement together. Yolanda had many friends and family that loved visiting her on Moose pond for weeks at a time. She enjoyed every minute of it. After many snowy Maine winters, they decided to move to sunny Florida in 1997. Yolanda was a great cook, card player, bowler and of course Grandmother. Yolanda is survived by her loving son, Joseph S. Stachelek and his wife Kathleen of Port Richey, Fl: Her Granddaughters Catherine Maxim (Andrew) of New Port Richey, Amy Stachelek, Caren Klenert (Robert) of Hudson Fl, Melissa Patterson of New Port Richey Fl.and her Great-grandchildren Ryan, Shawn, Sydney, Andrew (A.J.) Samuel, and Nicole.Yolanda also had many nieces and nephews whom she loved like her own children.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by her three sisters, Rose Avalone, Louise Calandrella, Margret Walent, and five brothers, Marino, Tony, John, Victor, and Alfred Turinese. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, April 24, 2017, from 8:30-9:30 am at the Meadowlawn Memorial in New Port Richey, Fl.There will be a mass held for Yolanda at St. Thomas Aquantis from 10-11:00 am.
