While we never met, through many conversations Jim shared with me about his Dad, I felt as though we were much closer than the hundreds of miles between us. One thing was clear to me, Irwin touched many lives for the good throughout his life. He will be missed. Our most sincere and deepest condolences to Jim, Susan, Diane, Amy and all the children, loved ones, and friends of the Cohen family.

I'm so sorry for your loss.  Butch was a wonderful man.

May the God and father of Abraham be with you as we await the fulfillment of seeing Abraham offspring fill the earth like the stars in the heavens. Genesis 15:5,6.

I mourn and grieve the loss of the best friend anyone could ever have.  He was, and will always be my very best friend. "Butch" and I met on his very first day at Stuyvesant High School in September, 1947. We quickly became, and remained, very, very close friends since that day.  My mind floods with fond memories of the past 71 years.  It somehow seems proper that Butch's funeral should take place on the day of our beloved Giants first game of the 2018 season.  He and I suffered through many, many Giant disasters. But, we also were overjoyed with their many successes.  My condolences go out to all of the
 family,Susan, Diane, Amy, Jimmy and all of the grandchildren.  I dare say I will miss him almost as much as all of you.  I loved him dearly.

So tragic.  Being a Goldberg, I knew Butch my entire life. Our hearts go out to the family. I'm sure he's sitting with his friend, and my dad, Stanley,  watching the football Giants today..

Irwin and I met about thirty-five years ago and quickly became fast friends, both socially and in business. I am an only child and he was the closest thing to a brother that I could have had. He was kind, generous and loving to all, especially to his family. I miss him greatly. My life will not be the same without him. Goodbye, dear friend. Rest well.

My heart is broken for Diane  and jimmy and Amy and our beloved Susu . There perhaps was never a finer man , husband , father and grandfather than Butch .

So very, very sorry for your loss.  We were privileged to know Irwin for over 30 years and he was an ever-present source of support and kindness.  Our thoughts and best wishes are with all of you, his family

Butch was loved by many.  He was a great father, a mentor and one of my best friends. I will miss him dearly. Especially our conversations about family and sports.
