

Peter Farley died peacefully at home on March 5, 2025. Peter is survived by his sisters Roseanne Farley and Ruth Staben and his brother Walter Farley, his nieces and nephew, grandnieces and grandnephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Ruth and Walter Farley Sr.
Born in New York City on March 3, 1953, Peter was a proud resident of first Greenwich Village and then the Upper East Side. In 1973, he joined the NYPD as a civilian member and was employed there until his death. He recently celebrated 51 years of service with the NYPD. Peter was affectionately called the “Mayor of One Police Plaza”.
Peter was an avid Mets fan and was invited to throw out the first pitch at Citifield in 2018. He enjoyed traveling, especially cruises. He was a big Disney fan and visited Disney World many times.
A wake will be held at Frank E. Campbell Funeral Home on Saturday, March 8th from 4 to 8pm and Sunday, March 9th from 2 to 4pm and 6 to 8pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Monica’s Church on East 79th Street on Monday, March 10th at 10am. Burial will immediately follow at St. Raymond’s Cemetery in the Bronx.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the NYC PBA Widows’ and Children’s Fund would be appreciated.
A public visitation for Peter will be held Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 4 PM to 8 PM at Frank E. Campbell - The Funeral Chapel, 1076 Madison Ave, New York, New York 10028.
A second visitation will occur Sunday, March 9, 2025 from 2 PM to 4PM and 6 PM to 8 PM.
A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Monday, March 10, 2025 from 10 AM at Roman Catholic Parish of St. Monica, 413 E 79th St, New York, NY 10075.
A committal service will follow at St. Raymond's New Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Ave, New York, NY 10465.
