My deepest sympathies to John, Luka, Mia, and the entire Lazic Strugar Family.  Tamara was one of a kind, and I was so fortunate to have met her at Yale Med.  She was such an amazing person who was taken way too soon.  I will always cherish the memories of the times we spent together.

I am so sorry to learn of Tamara's passing.  I had the privilege of being program director of her internship and remember her as a brilliant, kind, thoughtful person and skilled physician.  I will keep Tamara, John and their family in my thoughts and prayers.

I still remember when I first arrived to New Haven and met Tamara and John. We  talked for hours about everything from growing up in Belgrade to Treća gimnazija, immigrant life, academia, Yale and so on. Candid and courageous, Tamara lived life to its fullest. A true polymath, she made everything seem effortless.We later interacted as colleagues and would enjoy catching-up at the events in NYC where she always brought joy and her energy was uplifting. Her kindness cannot be overstated and will not be forgotten. The world lost a kindled spirit and I extend my sincere condolences to John and the family. Počivaj u miru Tamara.

Our loss of Tamara saddens me tremendously, and I offer my most profound condolences to John, their children, and her entire family. I had the extreme privilege of training Tamara in the field of Dermatology.  In turn, I could state that she actually trained us, as she was the very spirit and essence of our training program.  She was unique in many wonderful ways.  Her splendid personality shone through, like a star. She was so very bright, and capable, and knowledgeable, and loyal, and helpful, and optimistic.  Her "can do" approach was contagious.  She was a beautiful person and a true force of nature, one of the few who walk this undeserving earth and make things better for everyone around them.  I shall never forget her and I will miss her always. I thank her for sharing her precious life with us, at least for a short while.

So many memories — from cheering the boys’ soccer games, to  fishing during the pandemic in Connecticut, organizing countless sleepovers and spending New Year’s Eve together in Washington..  every moment with authenticity and joy that Tamara brought to all of our gatherings. For Tamara every moment was meant to be savored, that’s how life is to be lived..

I will miss you immensely my beautiful friend, you left us far too soon.. Thank you for your friendship.

In 2018, we opened a beautiful pharmacy with many dermatologist-recommended skin care lines, and as the rep, I was tasked with trying to get dermatologists to come and see our store and our vision. I thought to myself, “what doctor is going to want to spend their free time doing this after a long day of seeing patients?” I sheepishly made my request to Dr Lazic, and she astonished me by not only agreeing to come, but she gave us a generous amount of her time educating us on everything we had on the shelf. We were floored, and this experience had a profound impact on me.
She graciously extended this kindness to me throughout my years as her rep, giving me opportunities that I would have had no access to without her. 
She was an extraordinary woman with a commanding presence in every interaction. I am so lucky to have had the opportunity to work with her. I know her aura and impact will continue to be felt by me and so many others.

Heartbroken over the loss of an extraordinary woman, colleague, and friend. Dr. Lazic was a true light in this world - graceful, strong, deeply compassionate, and endlessly loving. She inspired all of us not only through her work, but through the way she lived and cared for others. Being around her made you better; she had that rare way of uplifting everyone she touched.

In her years, she built a life and legacy that most could only hope to achieve - a devoted mother and wife, a caring physician, a children’s book author, a businesswoman, and so much more. The depth of her impact is immeasurable, and her presence will be profoundly missed.

I am so very sorry for this tremendous loss! She was a unique person that was lighting every room she was in, and loved by so many that she touched their life! 
We loved her spirit, personality and they way she cared about each person.
We and I personally will miss her so very much! Until the very end I believed she will overcome this disease with her positivity snd strong spirit. May her memory be a blessing and her legacy continue through her amazing children and husband whom she loved do much!
