

Ann Marie (Flannagan) Ramsey, 90, passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at her home, surrounded by her family. She was one of 11 children and was born October 7, 1919, in St. Croix, IN to Martin and Delphine Flannagan.
She graduated from Oil Township High School in 1937 and married William Ramsey on October 30, 1940. She was an active member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Newburgh since 1966 and employed at St. Mary’s Medical Center for 20 years.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband, William Ramsey, in 2002.
She is survived by four sons, William Ramsey Jr., and his wife, Martha, of Indianapolis, IN, Thomas Ramsey and his wife, Bessie, of Tell City, IN, David Ramsey of Newburgh and Martin Ramsey and his wife, Arla of Newburgh; four daughters, Ruth Girten and her late husband, Gerald of Newburgh, Frances Dunn and her late husband, Larry, of Lafayette, IN, Mary Morris and her husband, Bob, of Indianapolis, IN and Phyllis Kolb of Indianapolis, IN; 27 grandchildren; and 44 great-grandchildren.
Ann will be remembered as being a woman of wisdom, dedication and great faith.
Services will be 10:00 AM Friday, June 25, 2010, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 625 Frame Road, Newburgh, officiated by Fr. Joseph Ziliak with burial in St. John’s Catholic Church Cemetery. Friends may visit Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 PM, with a prayer service at 7:00 PM, at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, and Friday from 9:00 AM until service time at the church.
