Obituary of Arline E. Taylor
Arline E. (Noelle) Taylor, 96, of Newburgh passed away on Saturday, August 6, 2022. She was born June 11, 1926 in Posey County, Indiana to the late Carl F. and Selma A. (Hausman) Noelle. Arline was employed with Credit Bureau of Evansville and was a longtime member of Bethel United Church of Christ. She was also a member of the Hadi Motor Bells, Deaconess Hospital Auxiliary and Daughters of the Nile. She served on the board of directors of the Evansville Vanderburgh County Libraries, the board of the Indiana State Public Library Association of Indianapolis and the PTA while her children were in school. Her hobby was painting for years with the Rivertown Chapter of Decorative Artists. She dearly loved her son and grandchildren and was very proud of their accomplishments. She was married to the love of her life James L. Taylor for 66 ½ years until his death in 2014. She was also preceded in death by sisters and brothers-in-law, Ellen Phillips (Deward) and Joyce Probstein (Irwin) and brother and sister-in-law, Albert Noelle (Louise). Arline is survived by her beloved son, Ritchie L. Taylor; grandchildren, Devin N. Taylor and Caitlyn N. Taylor; great grandchildren, Charles and James Taylor, and longtime friends, Bob and Carolyn Bennett. A Funeral Service will be 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2022 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. Family and friends may visit Friday from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
