Berhanu Allo

He is survived by his wife, Deribe Daffa of Newburgh Indiana; daughters, Jade Berhanu, Sabba Berhanu, Addis Berhanu and Hannah Berhanu from Tulsa OK; son, Logan Daffa of Newburgh Indiana; 8 grandchildren, and many other family and friends.

Berhanu was born in Maji, Ethiopia. He immigrated to the United States in 1979 to further persue his education. He attended Sterling College in Sterling Kansas and received a Bachelor’s of Science. He then went on to complete his Master’s in Chemical Engineering from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg Kansas.

Berhanu (Al) relocated to Evansville Indiana and started his life long career as a Chemical Engineer for Whirlpool where he went on to achieve a corporate position and was inventor of many patents for the company.

Aside from his outstanding work and education, Berhanu was an avid lover of golf and the outdoors. He loved to spend his free time hitting balls in the back yard, taking walks and keeping himself busy around the house.

He was highly respected by all those who had pleasure of meeting him and will be truly missed by many.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m., Saturday, December 19, 2020 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261.
