

Bonnie Lee Alms of Newburgh, IN passed away comfortably and peacefully on October 14, 2025, at the age of 85. Until the end, Bonnie maintained her kindness, humor, and love of family and friends with gratitude for her life lived alongside her family. Bonnie was born on September 5, 1940 to her loving parents Marvin and Wanda (Glenn) Knoll. She was raised in Evansville, IN and later resided in Chandler, IN before moving to Newburgh, IN.
Bonnie graduated from North High School in 1958. Bonnie married Donald “Donnie” Alms on February 14, 1959 and together they raised three children; Tony, Karen and Elizabeth. Bonnie worked in the cafeteria at Castle Junior High School for many years, where she was remembered as a caring and thoughtful employee in her community.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Wanda Knoll; her sister, Karen (Knoll) Alms; her husband, Donnie Alms and her daughter, Karen Alms. Bonnie’s memory will be cherished and kept alive by her children, Tony (Veronica) Alms and Elizabeth (Monty) Goines; her grandchildren, Amanda Alms, Tish (Cory) Andreanopoulos, Christina (Dexter) Wolf, Rachel (Jose) Aviles, Nick Martin, Christian Goines, Haley (Zach) Ziebarth, and Jalen Goines; and lots of great-grandchildren. Bonnie was deeply loved by her many cherished friends and family members throughout her life.
Bonnie absolutely adored animals and fully believed that her many pets were part of her family. She enjoyed playing cards with her family, spending time with her loved ones, and watching football, always cheering for the Indianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs. Bonnie was an avid collector of many things, including Precious Moments and Denim Days figurines.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Village of Hamilton Pointe Staff and AseraCare Hospice Staff for the care and compassion they showed Bonnie.
Family and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at 1:00 pm on Monday, October 20, 2025 at Alexander Funeral Home-Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, Newburgh, IN 47630, officiated by Pastor Mark Moog and Pastor Kirk Horstmeyer.

Visitation will be Monday from 11:00 am until service time at the funeral home.
Interment will be held at a later date in Evansville Lutheran Cemetery.
