

Sue graduated from Chandler High School in 1955 as Class Valedictorian. She attended Living Word Church in Newburgh. Throughout her life Sue worked with Chandler State Bank, Warrick County School Corporation, Evansville Courier and Press "Shopping with Sue", and she retired from FC Tucker Emge Realty. Sue was a member of Rolling Hills Country Club where she enjoyed golfing in the Ladies 9 Hole League. She loved traveling and golfing with her husband, as well as sewing and crafts.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, James Courtney, and sisters, Martha Sprinkle and Patsy Angel.
Sue is survived by sons, Tim Courtney (Paula) and Jeff Courtney (Debbie); grandchildren, Kyle Courtney (Kelly), Eric Courtney (Angelica), Sam Courtney (Megan) and Kaitlyn Courtney; great grandson, Liam James Courtney, and niece, Lou Ann Fisher.
A Memorial Service will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, March 1, 2024 at Alexander Newburgh Chapel, 5333 State Road 261, officiated by Pastor Dan Gross. Family and friends may visit Friday from 9:30 a.m. until service time. Inurnment will be private at Rose Hill Cemetery.
